The Land and Its Inhabitants
This land is abundant with flora and fauna. For over 10,000 years, this land has been inhabited by indigenous peoples. This area is part of the historic and present day homeland of the Abenaki.
We acknowledge the injustices that have disproportionately affected indigenous peoples. We donate 5% of our profits to support indigenous, anti-racism, and other local community organizations.
These are two organizations we have donated to:
Vermont Abenaki Artists Association abenakiart.org/
Their "mission is to promote Vermont's Indigenous arts and artists, to provide an organized central place to share creative ideas and professional development as entrepreneurs, and to have a method for the public to find and engage our artists."
Gedakina, Inc: Native American Experiential Outdoor Education and Leadership Development
http://gedakina.org/index.php/about-gedakina/
"Gedakina is a multigenerational endeavor to strengthen and revitalize the cultural knowledge and identity of Native American youth and families from across New England, and to conserve our traditional homelands and places of historical, ecological and spiritual significance."
